Diogo was born and raised in Portugal. He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Physics from Instituto Superior Técnico (University of Lisbon). For his Master’s thesis, he investigated the evolution of signaling in structured population. Now, in his PhD project, he will focus on developing mathematical models to understand how social structures can affect the evolution of cooperative behaviors.
Outside of work, Diogo loves plants and gardening and is very passionate about science communication!
